Approximately 800 members of the CCGA (Q) are distributed in the southern portion of its territory, and 65 units are located along the navigable waterways of Quebec, namely the St. Lawrence River; from the Ontario border to Blanc-Sablon on the north shore and to Baie des Chaleurs on the south shore, as well as the Richelieu and Saguenay rivers. 

Since 2016, its territory also covers the northern portion of Quebec, Nunavik where new units are being established.

These units are grouped by zones which are six in number:

• Zone 1 Côte-Nord/Saguenay

• Zone 2 Bas-Saint-Laurent/Gaspésie

• Zone 3 Québec

• Zone 4 Saint-Laurent/Richelieu

• Zone 5 Soulanges/Basses-Laurentides

• Zone 6 Nunavik 

• Zone 7 Baie James
